Kanab Crash Claims
Visitor and rental-car collisions
Crashes with drivers unfamiliar with the area, often in rented vehicles, where the rental company's coverage, the driver's own policy and sometimes a credit-card benefit all have to be sorted out.
Motorhome and trailer crashes
Big rigs need long stopping distances and wide turns. Section 41-6a-1701 bars backing unless it can be done safely without interfering with other traffic, a rule that matters when a camper backs out of a lot onto the highway.
Two-lane highway collisions
Head-on, sideswipe and passing crashes on US-89 north and east of town. Speed and lane position are the central disputes, and skid marks and debris need to be recorded before the road is cleared.
Pedestrians in town
Visitors walking between lodging, restaurants and shops along the highway. Where they crossed and how well the area was lit often decide these claims; see our pedestrian injury guide.
Uninsured drivers and hit-and-runs
When the other driver carries no insurance, or drives off and is never identified, your uninsured motorist coverage can respond (§ 31A-22-305). The injury threshold in § 31A-22-309(1) does not apply to an uninsured motorist claim.
